This post is about insurance; life insurance specifically. Yes – life insurance and retirement plans. …and there’ll be plenty of coaching, too.
As you’re probably well aware, I’ve become very careful with the words I use and feelings I have because of my understanding of the Law of Attraction which I’ve developed through study and teaching.
I’ve been asked – more like told – getting life insurance just sends a signal to the universe so you’ll attract the need to use the life insurance. I thought the same thing for a long time, but a few years ago my opinion changed.
Let me tell you why. The Universe was created as a response mechanism for us. It’s unbiased and completely consistent, meaning it has no consciousness when responding to your “signal”, prayer, life, thoughts, or feelings. It simply responds. It operates by Law. No exceptions. One of these Laws is the Law of Attraction. An easy way to state the Law of Attraction is: “energy attracts like energy”. Not good energy, not bad energy, but like energy. ..and that source, attracting energy to which the Universe response is from our feelings.
So when you’re careful or protected or have adequate insurance, do you feel safe or in danger? That’s kind of a ridiculous question. Of course you feel safe. In other words, without proper insurance, the signal you’re sending out to the Universe is not likely to be a confident one.
After having chosen to purchase life insurance, the problem many people have when considering or selecting the right life insurance provider is the honesty of reputability of the agent. After all, the insurance itself is regulated by State and Federal guidelines, but the agent, although bound by ethical guidelines, is still human.
So… who do I trust? Sherry Jordan – her I trust. I’ve known her for a little while now and although we met through professional circumstances, she’s grown to be a friend, Think Out Loud MasterMinds participant, and she’s my neighbor. (…and do you like all your neighbors?)

Now, having a retirement plan is obviously a smart thing to do and certainly sends a positive signal from you to the Universe, so here are MY reasons for life insurance:
1. I’m relatively young, but the more I wait, the more expensive life insurance gets.
2. No one is an island and someone will certainly be affected when you transition from this life. Having life insurance respects them, providing them with resources under that stressful time.
3. Generally, work-based group insurance wouldn’t cover a funeral and bills for more than a month or two.
4. Life Insurance looks very good on a personal balance sheet since it sits in the Asset column.
5. I have a Return of Premium policy, so every penny I pay for my plan will come back to me at the end of my term in the form of a check. …or I can elect to fund another insurance policy.
6. I’m prepared for recovery in the event of the unexpected.
6. I feel VERY confident, protected, and secure. Now THAT’s the signal I want to send out.
7. As my needs change, I can change my policies to a certain degree – it’s somewhat flexible these days. …more reason to feel confident.
These are just some of my personal reasons for having life insurance. There are a multitude of reasons why you should or shouldn’t get life insurance. In fact, there are EXACTLY the same number of reasons TO get life insurance as there are not to. We know this because of the Law of Polarity.
So, here’s the real question: Will getting life insurance move you closer to your life’s goal? If it will, you should seriously consider “moving”. …and of course it will. Financial security and freedom is the most common life goal, and if it isn’t, it should be. …and if it is, and you don’t move, you’re telling the Universe you’re not serious.
Now, LISTEN CAREFULLY. I’m not telling you to go and buy insurance or start a retirement plan. That’s a decision you have to make. But as a coach, I have to be extremely careful when I talk about ways you can move toward your goal. I don’t feel it’s morally right to make a suggestion and not point you in the right direction. For the same reasons there are VERY few people who I recommend for anything, but I am seriously suggesting you to talk to Sherry, a trustworthy professional, to determine if life insurance is right for your circumstances and which type fits you best.
Did you know that 10 minutes is only 1/10th of 1% (that’s 0.1%) of the time you have available in a week? My suggestion to you: Call Sherry Jordan at 520-624-7329 or email her at sherry.jordan.m30k@statefarm.com and take just 10 minutes to consider the plethora of benefits which life insurance has to offer.
PS – Pursuant to State and Federal regulations, I will get NO benefit from your response to this email. I really do believe in life insurance as a confidence-building, safety-generating mechanism. I really do trust Sherry.
